Little Update

For all inquiring minds.... WE HAVE A CLOSING DATE!!!!!! :)

They are debating if it will be Monday the 26th or Tuesday the 27th.

Either way I couldn't be happier, and I couldn't be more thankful for all the thoughts and prayers from family and friends. I couldn't have gotten through all the craziness that we have had to deal with about this house. So THANKS!!

Also a lil wedding update. This weekend my future mother in law, my suz and myself will be attending a bridal expo and going to visit a possible venue!

Here is a sneak peek into the venue we are visiting....

Exciting... I know! :)

Kitchen Table

I might be getting ahead of myself (considering we still don't have a close date). BUT I would love to have a kitchen table like these below. *sigh*

Recessionize the Wedding Funds

We have decided to embrace the recession. From here on out our wedding will be the DIY wedding. The do-it-yourself, make it your own, spend hours staying up late to tie that last ribbon, the 255 trips to the craft store and the satisfying well earned bids on eBay kind of wedding. So this shall be fun right? Ready for the ride? WE ARE!

So...
Step One: Get engaged. CHECK!(NOTE: For the whole DIY part... we decided this AFTER Steve bought the ring. Otherwise a quarter machine, or a twist tie would have sufficed.)
Step Two: Take engagement photos. CHECK! All you need is your own camera, a tripod, a timer on the camera and for some shots a remote timer and BAM your very own engagement photos - priceless, literally.

Step Three: Coming Soon!

E Photos

It's that time! Engagement photos time!

Since we are in the process of purchasing a home, we are trying to save as much money as we can. So we opted to save on engagement photos by taking them ourselves. Say hello to an awesome camera, a tripod, a remote control timer and two people who are madly in love <---that would be Steve and I. :)

Here is a sneak peek into the session we had this past weekend.

More to come when I have time to edit them!!

Appraisal

A little update for ya!

We just got the appraisal form back. We are taking the good with the bad on this one.

The good- Our home is appraised for more than what we are paying! WOO HOO!

The bad- We need to go in and fix a few things. Like powerwash the side of the house, add 2 cabinets to the kitchen, and add some switch coverings to one bathroom.

Hopefully we will be able to make the changes and have it ready by Oct. 9th!! The Lord has been so faithful that I just know we are in great hands.

Side Note:
The past weekend we took Tovi and Max for a weekend getaway at CJ and Gregs house in Bollingbrook. We all went canoeing and had a great time! :)

The END!

ducks are lining up

God is truly amazing. (Like we didn't know that already!!) But he is just so faithful and has his plans just perfectly right. Want to hear more about his awesomeness? Well keep reading...

I graduated Columbia College of Chicago in June 2008 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design. I took a month to relax and I started job searching in July of '08. I couldn't find a job in my field let alone get an interview for months after months and I didn't understand why. I kept praying and praying... my family was praying....friends were praying, my mothers friends... but still God had other plans for me that were not revealed until yesterday.

Yesterday I had my first interview! (Big cheer can be let out right about now!) I felt the interview went very well. I made a few mistakes. Like too vague of answers, a few 'Ums'... but overall I feel like I did great. I did well thanks to all the prayers and of course the cute outfit that my mom got me to wear for the big day! :)

Well as I was driving to another meeting later that day, the person who interviewed me called me to say that she just sent over an e-mail with a proposal saying that I got the job!!!!! (pause...) I GOT THE JOB!!!!!!!

Now talk about perfect planning on Gods time. This job is at a marketing/design firm for Real Estate agents and brokers. The only experience I have with real estate is the fact that I am in the process of purchasing my first home, and all of the knowledge that my Grandparents have given me throughout these past months. With out my Grandparents and this first time home process, I don't think I would be the best candidate for the position. So no wonder God was holding out this job for me until now. Wow can the Lord really work his magic!!

So here is a list of this busy life up ahead...
