Ijorere (E-jaw-ray-ray)

How do I make this long story short...

  • I got a call from Ola (who received my information via the printer I use).

  • She wanted me to help implement her designs. (Ola owns Ijorere The Invitation - a wedding invitation company.)

  • I said of course!

  • I am now free-lancing for Ijorere! :)

  • Ola is an amazing beautiful women, and I couldn't thank God enough for placing her in my life.

Our first project was a flyer that needed to be made for http://www.ladybrillenigeria.com/. The flyer is live right now and I hope Ola gets a lot of business exposure from this.

I'm just excited that I get to work with Ola and we are going to be creating some awesome ideas in the future. Our brains are running like crazy and I just have a VERY good feeling about this!!

one more thing...

i think this is adorable...

Wedding on the mind...

I have been thinking about our wedding A LOT lately. We have been so wrapped up in the house we have slightly pushed the wedding to the side. But I keep thinking up new ideas and I just get so excited to actually plan our wedding, that I have a feeling it will be coming much sooner than everyone thinks. My goal is to send out Save the Dates by end of January. Is this possible? I think so!

Here are a 2 wedding venues, that Suz and I went and looked at a lil bit ago, for the Lee/Bach Wedding...

Say hello to the apple orchard

Breathtaking country barn

However there are a few more venues that we have checked out. And I have a few more ideas tucked up my sleeve that I will keep in storage. :)

PS- We put Christmas lights up at the house!!! I will take a photo some time this week when I'm out there and post it for you to see. It's just charming - or am I just trying to nest without really living there. Either way - I love it!

House Update

Just a few photos of some of the updates....

The fence before

The actual new fence that Jimmy Lee ripped 2x4's down to 2x2's and then ripped each 2x2 once more.... for over 340 2x4's. Crazyness. I am loved deeply.

Middle - Steve using the jig to put up the fence.

Almost After - Jimmy Lee and myself painting (photo compliments of Suz)

Ta-da! Notice the gate is open in the back(I need a better photo of the fence because this just doesn't cut it at all... so new photo coming soon!)

Until next time....

Tovi Update

Alright, so I just feel soooo guilty. Ever since I was blessed with a full time job, I feel that I have been neglecting my toast (AKA Tovi). Before I got my big girl job, I would walk at least 2 hours a day with Tovi, and now... tear... he is lucky if he gets 1/2 an hour. He just isn't getting an adequate amount of exercise and it's just all my fault. We walk in the morning and then play at night, but that just isn't enough. So lucky him we are building him a fence this weekend so he can run and run and run and runnnnnnnn. This makes me very happy, and I'm sure he will love it. However I think he will love it even more when we build a dogie door in the mud room :)

This is his fence photo.... lots of room for him to have fun!

He got a new toy... the mouSTACHe!

Real Dogs wear pink!

He is just too cute for words!

They are too cute 2! This is how they sleep sometimes :)

Why are you taking so many photos ma!?

Me and my toast

He gives kisses ALL the time!!

Proud Homeowner

As most of you probably already know, we are HOMEOWNERS!!!!!!!

It was a crazy roller coaster ride, but God has perfect timing. I just don't even know how to express how thankful I am for all the prayers from family and friends, and all the help that has been given during this ordeal. So to say it once more... THANK YOU EVERYONE!!!

We have already started to work on the house. I just never thought I would be so excited to clean a toilet before. So let the cleaning begin!!

Oh and by the way, we met some of our neighbors and they told us that Saturday, expect 600+ trick-or-treaters!!! HOLLY MOLELY!

Oh and of course Tovi loves the new casa

Little Update

For all inquiring minds.... WE HAVE A CLOSING DATE!!!!!! :)

They are debating if it will be Monday the 26th or Tuesday the 27th.

Either way I couldn't be happier, and I couldn't be more thankful for all the thoughts and prayers from family and friends. I couldn't have gotten through all the craziness that we have had to deal with about this house. So THANKS!!

Also a lil wedding update. This weekend my future mother in law, my suz and myself will be attending a bridal expo and going to visit a possible venue!

Here is a sneak peek into the venue we are visiting....

Exciting... I know! :)

Recessionize the Wedding Funds

We have decided to embrace the recession. From here on out our wedding will be the DIY wedding. The do-it-yourself, make it your own, spend hours staying up late to tie that last ribbon, the 255 trips to the craft store and the satisfying well earned bids on eBay kind of wedding. So this shall be fun right? Ready for the ride? WE ARE!

So...
Step One: Get engaged. CHECK!(NOTE: For the whole DIY part... we decided this AFTER Steve bought the ring. Otherwise a quarter machine, or a twist tie would have sufficed.)
Step Two: Take engagement photos. CHECK! All you need is your own camera, a tripod, a timer on the camera and for some shots a remote timer and BAM your very own engagement photos - priceless, literally.

Step Three: Coming Soon!
