Trash the Dress

This all happened a little while ago but I came across the photos below so here is the story:

My old boss Jim (at the photo lab) had a great idea of  "trash the dress with art paint" and use Meredith as the model. It was for sure some fun stuff.... I was a little nervous being in front of the camera and not behind the lens..... but it all went well and smiles and laughter were shared!

Steve Turns The Big 2-5!

.... a few weeks ago on the 14th of May! :)

My cute little helper. Tovi licked all the dishes clean! Ha! JK!

Side note: Steve and Suz loved the cake... and it turns out Max did as well. He ate half of it.... Ha-ha That dog NEVER fails to eat part of Steve's birthday cakes... man oh man.

Max on Duty

Every time we are at the house working I make sure to take BOTH dogs to enjoy the mess, run around the back (fenced in) yard, play in all the saw dust and have a great time.

Here are a few snap shots of Max along the journey...

Rough housing with Tovi:

Out in the rain on the deck:

Resting with Mr. Jimmy Lee:

Life IS rough:

So rough he needed a shot:

And then some much needed air:

And after the end of the day... a little nap on the level. Perfectly normal....

Coming Along

The soon-to-be Bach residence is coming along!

Here are a few photo updates...

Suz helped me plant some ranunculus in the front - Thanks Jen for the Home Depot Gift Card!! I got to use it for fun flower things!! :)

What my ranunculus look like as of last week:

Time to put in all the networking cables for all the technology stuff ;)

Time to rip the wood to cover up all the holes, and install the sub flooring.

Steve and Nick installing can lighting.

Purrrrrty...

Now it's time to have a painting par-tay, turn that music up!

Hanging up the crown molding and getting the angles was very tedious I know. I'm so thankful for people who love me and want to help make me my dream kitchen dreams come true! And boys just think.... we have the entire rest of the house to do! You will be pros by the time we are done. ;)

Many many many thanks to these lovely parents below. They are my heart and soul. A great example to look up to.

Also this past Sunday we drove up to the Milwaukee County Zoo for the 6th Annual Block Melanoma 5K Run and 3K Walk. (Steve broke his toe the night before and couldn't join us - next year!). But this is the 2nd year that we participated it in - and it's awesome. It's crazy to think this is the 2nd race already.... oh how I dearly miss you Uncle Larry.

When we got back from the race on Sunday we went directly to the house to continue working. Here we are tearing up the living room carpet and tile, and a snap shot of the kitchen before Steve and I finished painting it yesterday (photo coming soon).

To conclude... my little bird in the back yard (which reminds me that I need to purchase some bird seed). She made her nest and planted her roots right under our deck. It's wonderful. I check it all the time because I can't wait to see the progression of her little bird family. I love having my own home. :)

Update

I have been so swamped these past few weeks, so I apologize with the delay of any posts.

So a quick update on the Lee/Bach house:

Things with the house have been progressing REALLY well! (I'll show some photos soon.) We, and when I say we I mean Mr. Jimmy Lee and Mr. Steven Bach..... yes so we move the electrical in the kitchen so my double wall oven could be at an angle. We then figured out the networking cables by taking more walls down and ripping up more flooring. Then Nick came and helped us with dry walling and helped install our new can lighting (he's a pro!) What did I get to do? Well I got to paint some strips of wood for the new sliding doors, I got to point and say yes and no, pick out our new fans and pick out a chandelier that will go above the door when you walk in :) :) oh and how can I forget.... and swipe my Home Depot card... a lot! Ha-ha

Projects moving forward:
• Sand, mud and paint more trimming for the slider doors
• Close up the remaining walls.
• Put in the new subflooring.
• Buy PAINT!!
• Paint the ceiling, and then the walls, and then stencil the one wall.
• Mud the holes in the living room and then paint.
• Then............. install the hardwood FLOORING!!!!!!!  VERY excited about that!

Lee/Bach Wedding update:
• Bridesmaids have their attire *but there is still a lil fluff that needs adding ;)
• Groomsmen’s attire is in the works as we speak.
• My dress hasn't arrived yet so Suz and I took literality 3 straight days (8am - 7pm) and went everywhere from Schaumburg, Elgin, Geneva, Rockford, Roscoe, McHenery to Lake Zurich and finally found THE dress. It's in the process of getting cleaned and then it needs to get altered, and then I need to add some "meredith" to the dress and BAM... ladies and gentlemen we have a wedding dress. *sigh*
• Table favors for the guest have been made final. :) They rock and I hope all my guests will LOVE it!
• Tovi's lil doggie tux has arrived vis UPS..... just kidding mom.... no animals aloud, but I really wish they were... instead reservations at the doggie hotel have been made and booked.
• Florist - Check
• Music - Check
• Invites.... in the process and hopefully will be a check within the next few days or one week? Eak!
Alright... whew.

From the previous post I told y'all about the Millers and that I would post some photos within the week. WOOPS! Did I mention I have been swamped? So without further delay... some photos of an adorable family, and a talented lady that I miss working with.....

Oh and FYI these are just a select few from the pile of cuteness! :)

Look at his eyes in this one.... melts me every time :)

Aren't the lovely? Simplly adorable family.
