Fawn Lane Update

Flooring:
The sub floor is complete so the hardwood floors are ready to  be installed!!! We just need to finish up the paint and crown molding to start the installation.

A quick snap of the hardwood floors :)

Basement = Dry:
Every time it rains our basement floods. That's not a good thing. Well the problem was that the 'poop' tube that runs from the inside of our basement to the septic field outside was never installed correctly. The person who installed it never packed and sealed around the tube. So when it would rain the water would run into the ground and literally pour into our basement. So good ole Stevie Boy did the dirty job and fixed the leak :)

Also Nana if you are reading this... we got a dehumidifier a few weeks ago and it is running non-stop! The basement doesn't smell anymore! Oh and when I mean we got a dehumidifier, I mean we are borrowing one from mom and dad until they need it back ;)

Tovi:
While Steve was making our basement dry Tovi was playing in the culverts muddy rain water. Pure joy written all over his mug! And boy did he smell PRETTY when he was done frolicking back and forth.

(Please note his new summer shave. My poor baby. It's only hair... it's only hair....)

Kitchen:
The kitchen fan has been installed and it's blowing wind and light ever so beautifully. Yeah!! Good work Steve!!

Also the 4th wall has been painted white and all the sub-floor is finished as well! Now I just need to paint my green damask and the painting in the kitchen is complete!

Tovi Part 2:
And yes, Tovi still is deprived of attention. Poor poor kid, but look how beautiful my Mom is?!

Wind, Rain and Mr. Frog

Recently the Northern IL area has been getting TONS of rain and some heavy wind.

Our poor fence felt the wind the other day.

But it brought tons of these lil guys :)

Shower of Love & Happiness

I'm getting married!! You kind of already knew that right? Well it's kickin' in and I am ready! Today I had my personal shower... vaaaavoom va-voom!! (photos of that to come soon) but a few Sundays ago was my bridal shower at La Petite Crêperie. It was quaint and charming. I had many laughs, smiles, hugs, good food and most of all... loved ones present and in spirit!

I still can't believe how loved Steve and I are. It is just so overwhelming that we are so supported and cared for, and think.... God loves us even MORE!! Wow we just can't wait to get hitched! :)

The awesome flowers and charming room that we were in:

The First Wedding Solo

Long story short a friends cousin was getting married in a week and they found out they didn't hire a photographer. So they thought of asking me and seeing if I would be up for the challenge. (WOW! So exciting and nervous and honored and just some wonderful feelings all at once!)

So I said yes and probably lost 5 lbs in sweat alone during the entire process ;)

It was fun and a great first experience. Thanks for the challenge Tina!!

Here are a few snaps:
